The seven members of our group who had never been to Salzburg really
enjoyed it too. I had told them so many good things about Doktorwirt
that I became a bit worried they may be a bit disappointed but they weren’t,
they couldn’t be really. We loved the new look hotel which has changed so
much over for the better over the years. Most of all I loved seeing you and all
your family and finding that you haven’t changed at all, except like me you
have all got a bit older! You all made us feel so welcome and it was wonderful
that Elizabeth senior came across to see us. That made the dream complete.
 

I would like to especially thank you for your kindness on the morning we left.
The views of the Untersberg and mountains were spectacular (I am sure you
fixed that for us!) and it was really kind of Karl junior to drive us
to the airport it did make life simpler and more comfortable.
Thanks too for the breakfasts you gave us. We enjoyed ours in the airport
though I didn’t eat my piece of cake till I got back home where I had it
with a cup of tea. The others enjoyed their breakfast at the hotel and it meant
the children had less time to  spend at the airport which was more comfortable
 for everyone. Airports are always boring even for the adults. We had
 a good journey home the flight was on time and the weather was good
 for our drive home to Yorkshire.

I have visited Salzburg in seven different months of the year and
I always take lots of photographs but the ones I took this time were the best of all
 because everywhere was quieter that I have seen it. I have some wonderful ones
 in the water gardens at Hellbrun which I would never get in the summer
when it is so busy. The ones you took of us Caroline have turned out really well,
 wonderful souvenirs.

Tracy and the girls didn’t come home with Rob and I on the Tuesday they stayed
 at Jo’s for  a day and the first thing they wanted was to see the parts of the
Sound of Music which were filmed in Salzburg and they were very excited when
 they saw the Mirabel gardens. Alex got really excited last Thursday when
atwick airport was on television at the start of problems caused by the volcano.
“We were there” she kept shouting. We were so grateful we hadn’t been
caught up in all the problems it caused.

I think I mentioned that I am hoping to return next year with a friend who
I met on a holiday. I was telling her about my special present and she told me
 she really like Salzburg and would like to go back. So I told her about Doktorwirt
and told her to look at your web site. Then I thought I would like to go
back too so all being well I plan to come next year not with the family
unfortunately but I am sure I will enjoy it.

At the airport we were talking about our favourite moment on the holiday and
everyone had different ones. Mine was walking up from the bus stop
with all of them then I really believed my dream was coming true.
 

Please give our thanks and best wishes to all the family, our stay in Doktorwirt
was all I hoped for and more.  I know for sure that my parents would have loved
he idea that their great grand children would stay there.
